tillandsias need water, although they can survive for long periods of drought. mist thoroughly with a water bottle once or twice a week. if your plant looses its color after blooming, this is natural, all its energy is going into producing pups, but if it losses its color before blooming its not getting sufficient light so move it to a lighter location. fertilizing is not really required, but it will result in faster growth. a water soluble fertilizer may be recommended once a month for an extra happy plant.
